By Alina Büchner

Painted by Hand,
Layer by Layer

Oil on linen, built up slowly with brush and palette knife. Every piece carries real texture — made to be felt up close and lived with as the light shifts through the day.

The Artist

Alina Büchner

Born in Neuss, Germany. Studied painting at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf before spending two years working from a residency in rural Provence. Now based between the Rhineland and wherever the next landscape pulls her.

Her process is slow and physical — hand-stretched Belgian linen, earth pigments ground in the studio, layers built up over weeks with brush and palette knife. The surfaces carry real texture you can feel across a room.

"I want someone to touch it and feel the paint push back."
